چکیده
Abstract Protothecosis is an infectious disease caused by organisms currently classified within the green algal genus Prototheca . The can manifest as cutaneous lesions, olecranon bursitis or disseminated systemic infections in both immunocompetent and immunosuppressed patients. Concerning diagnostics, taxonomic validity important. , closely related to Chlorella species complex, known be polyphyletic, branching with Auxenochlorella Helicosporidium phylogeny of was discussed revisited several times last decade; new have been described. Phylogenetic analyses were performed using ribosomal DNA (rDNA) partial mitochondrial cytochrome b ( cytb ) sequence data. In this work we use Internal Transcribed Spacer 2 (ITS2) well 18S rDNA However, for first time, reconstruct phylogenetic relationships primary RNA secondary structure information simultaneously, a concept shown increase robustness accuracy tree estimation. Using encoded sequence-structure data, Neighbor-Joining, Maximum-Parsimony Maximum-Likelihood methods yielded well-supported trees agreement other calculated on rDNA; but differ aspects from marker. ITS2 structures sequences are well-known common core eukaryotes show unusual differences their helix lengths. An elongation fourth some seems occurred independently course evolution.

Reconstructing the Phylogeny of Capsosiphon fulvescens (Ulotrichales, Chlorophyta) from Korea Based on rbcL and 18S rDNA Sequences
Capsosiphon fulvescens is a filamentous green algae in the class Ulvophyceae. It has been consumed as food with unique flavor and soft texture to treat stomach disorders and hangovers, and its economic value justifies studying its nutritional and potential therapeutic effects. In contrast to these applications, only a few taxonomic studies have been conducted on C. fulvescens. In particular, cl...
متن کاملAn 18S rDNA-based molecular phylogeny of aphidiinae (Hymenoptera: braconidae).
We have obtained a molecular phylogeny of the subfamily Aphidiinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) by sequencing the 18S rDNA in 37 aphidiine taxa. Approximately 1857 nucleotides were sequenced in each species. Evolutionary relationships were established by comparing the results of maximum-parsimony, maximum-likelihood, and distance analyses. The most variable region of this gene, V4 (approx 403 nucl...
متن کاملInternal phylogeny of the Chilopoda (Myriapoda, Arthropoda) using complete 18S rDNA and partial 28S rDNA sequences.
The internal phylogeny of the 'myriapod' class Chilopoda is evaluated for 12 species belonging to the five extant centipede orders, using 18S rDNA complete gene sequence and 28S rDNA partial gene sequence data. Equally and differentially weighted parsimony, neighbour-joining and maximum-likelihood were used for phylogenetic reconstruction, and bootstrapping and branch support analyses were perf...
متن کاملThe phylogeny of land plants inferred from 18S rDNA sequences: pushing the limits of rDNA signal?
Previous studies of the phylogeny of land plants based on analysis of 18S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) sequences have generally found weak support for the relationships recovered and at least some obviously spurious relationships, resulting in equivocal inferences of land plant phylogeny. We hypothesized that greater sampling of both characters and taxa would improve inferences of land plant phylogeny ...
متن کاملSubgenus systematics of Acanthamoeba: four nuclear 18S rDNA sequence types.
Classification of Acanthamoeba at the subgenus level has been problematic, but increasing reports of Acanthamoeba as an opportunistic human pathogen have generated an interest in finding a more consistent basis for classification. Thus, we are developing a classification scheme based on RNA gene sequences. This first report is based on analysis of complete sequences of nuclear small ribosomal s...
